Disabled People

I have recently taken over the care of my 29 yr. old niece, since my brother passed away. I just found out while trying to make her an appointment for an ear infection that she had a past due bill. I tried to find out the details on this and in checking I was told that she had medicare and medicade at the time of this debt. I contacted the people at this company and was told by a billing person that at this time it was to late to file these. The only hope I would have is to have them write them off. She transfered me to the supervisor Suzanne. She told me that a letter was mailed to her address and they received no reply. Well I explained to her of my situation that my niece has some disabilities some of which she can not read or write, so mailing her a letter did no good. I have only just taken over about 6 months ago and if she could write it off I would appreciate it. Well I am all for people paying their bills but we are talking about someone who had the resources designed to help someone in her circumstances. You see my niece has other challenges as well. Now Suzanne, I must say was not polite and told me she would not write it off and she would put it in collections. She lives in a rest home so what are you going to get. What bothered me is how she had no concern to her situation or her condition. It is so much better to denie her service till these bills are collected and not even that much I might say a little over $400.00 . Shame on your business for having someone like you to make them look bad. Well I hope Suzanned that you never have a situation such as I do and come across people such as yourself. It is hard enough to deal with her everyday issues but then we are forced to deal with someone who has no campassion. I am sure you write off debt on a regular basis, I am sure you have debt you will never collect. Well Suzanne I hope you sleep well tonight. I rate your company at a very low -5. Compassion starts with one person, guess that is not you. Have a nice day Suzanne......
