AARP

Why don't they fight something important like . . .
Commentry on the above Group :
Where is the fight to save the privledge to drive for the elderly? Wake up, there is very strong sentiment and movement to ban drivers licenses just because someone is over a certain age! Why doesn't the AARP take up a meaningful fight for once? If they took up this cause (passionately and without compromise protecting the driving privledges of the "elderly") I would join and contribute immediately. I am over 50 and I get AARP membership mailings but I immediately throw them out because the organization seems to be only about money and fighting any helpful steps to reform social programs. However, the AARP is missing the boat. This issue, which is really an issue of independence and anti-discrimination, would result in sharply increased numbers and passion among their membership.
