REPUBLICAN PROBLEM

  Commentry for the above Politician : [ Total Postings : 1 ]
Why did they essentially lose the last election?
  Several reasons why they lost:
1. Inappropriate actions give scandal fodder to the liberal media - they should have known they must stay squeaky clean
2. The liberal media is a hard machine to beat, and obviously trying to accomodate the liberal point of view is not the answer to beating them
3. Accomplishments were few during the so-called Republican majority due to lack of effective leadership and lack of unity
4. Republicans buckled under constant liberal criticism and Republicans failed to keep their place on the public stage with new ideas and effective action to improve our country - instead they often hid
5. Republicans failed to maintain the offense in the battle of ideas (their ideas and thought process is often the best, and they need to shout out that message constantly if they are going to beat the liberal media machine - they cant take the defense and expect to win in this environment). Never be afraid to talk simple and straight and call a spade a spade.
6. Republicans can't run from Iraq. If we need to change our tack, then let's make whatever changes are necessary now, but the only way to win in the political arena is to stand tall for our beliefs and our actions - not run away from the party
7. Either they stand together in their actions and their message and take the offense, or they will lose - Have they learned their lesson?
